  1. Wish more people had come to this discussion- the book was so timely, with the Locavore Challenge coming up, and it was a great discussion, Kingsolver is a great writer, and this book re-activated many fond kitchen memories for me. although my family situation is very different now, reading this book started me thinking about ways to do more of what I used to do, in a way that better fits what is now. This week, I started to bake bread again, dividing the dough into small loaves, baking one and freezing the rest as dough, ready for the second rising. There are 3 people at my house, but only one eats whole grain bread (me), so this is a good way to adapt.

  2. I am still reading the book which has been a revelation. I am working on eating clean and trying to buy local myself so this is a good time for me to be reading this book.
